Hello West Valley Residents, Stakeholders and Community members:

Make plans to attend IN-PERSON and meet Karren Lane, LA Deputy Mayor of Community Safety and other Public Safety team members at the LAPD West Valley Division Community Meeting scheduled for Wednesday May 8th at 6:30PM at the West Valley Community Police Station – 19020 Vanowen St, Reseda CA 91335. Free parking is provided at the station as well as behind the Public Library (which is next door). Our meeting will start at 6:30PM and end at 7:45PM.

Karren Lane serves as Deputy Mayor of Community Safety and will leverage her experience and expertise in criminal justice reform and public safety to lead the Office of Community Safety. Lane has successfully partnered with community residents, government, and the private sector to improve social and economic conditions impacting families in CA.  Ms Lane also oversees community engagement and participatory governance in a variety of areas, including community safety and homelessness solutions.

Also in attendance will be David Bright, West Valley representative for community Engagement. Both Deputy Mayor Lane and Mr Bright will be present to answer your questions about public safety – a Top Priority of Mayor Bass, as well as discuss Mayor Bass’s Strategy for Public Safety, which includes growing the effectiveness and diversity of the LAPD, Community Partnership, intervention, prevention and reform, and strengthening the Fire Department and its ability to respond.

Of course, LAPD West Valley Division staff, Senior Lead Officers and local LA City Council district representatives will also be in attendance to meet and speak with you. 

This is a meeting that you will not want to miss. 

Please set May 8th on your calendar and encourage your neighbors to attend what is sure to be a great meeting. Meeting starts at 6:30PM.
