NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL BUDGET ADVOCATES TOWNHALL

Posted on 03/16/2024

Hello Neighborhood Council leaders and Stakeholders,

You are cordially invited to join your Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates (NCBA) to learn about the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment's (DONE/Empower LA) Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget Request with DONE Director of Administrative Services Armando Ruiz and DONE Interim General Manager Vanessa Serrano on Saturday, March 23, 2024 beginning at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.  Registration is required.

This Town Hall will begin with a budget presentation from DONE followed by a question and answer period.  To make the most of our limited time we respectfully ask that all questions for DONE about their requested budget be submitted in advance when registering or be emailed to [email protected] by March 19th.

The 230-page DONE budget request, which is now being considered by Mayor Karen Bass, is linked here.

This is meant to be a productive discussion about the Department's requested budget. Please keep all comments and questions limited to that topic.  Based upon last year's experience, we expect this session will last 90 minutes. We will provide you with budget updates if you register  (https://tiny.cc/DONETH24), even if you are not able to attend.
